The beginnings of the New Health Care System in the UK – by the people for the people. A network of drop-in Hubs on various days in the week in different locations in York. We started in the Scout Hut in Fulford in January 2023 and we are relocating to a new space in 2024. There are several potential collaborations in different areas of York. We have hosted exercise classes, meditations, self care workshops, tea and chats with practitioners, individual treatments, talks on gardening, preserving, and networking with other groups in York that are on our signposting list. We are self – funded, with different membership levels and sponsorships. We are linked up with the other Hubs in the region: Thorne Health Haven, Selby, Ryedale, and others which are all developing in their own ways. We can provide template forms and policy documents, but each Hub or Hublet must create what resonates with them. There are no “off the peg” guidelines. But we are happy to provide mentoring and co-working.
