Hello, my name is Deb Williams of One Breath Well-being.
I am a restorative breathing coach, who is polyvagal (theory) informed. My principal discipline is teaching breathing re-education, and training people in the Buteyko Breathing Method. I did my training through Buteyko Clinic International, with Patrick McKeown. I offer my work to adults/teenagers and children with breathing pattern disorders such as asthma, COPD, sleep disorders, sleep apnoea, panic disorder, anxiety, depression, long covid and to help gain general well-being.
I am based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. UK.
I offer virtual one to one and group session training. I can offer in person training if a potential client is local to me.
I have amassed over 30 years of invaluable experience in the realm of health and well-being. Currently serving as a part-time Bereavement Support Worker. I recently transitioned to this new role after dedicating 18 years to working as a drug and alcohol recovery worker, My journey in the health industry began in the realm of fitness in 1993, and I steadily progressed to become an Exercise Specialist (NHS) specialising in mental health.
I hold multiple certifications that showcase my diverse skill set. As well as being a certified Buteyko Breathing instructor, I have earned a diploma in Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) and am a qualified Mindfulness teacher. I have a passion for nature and am a certified Nature Connection & Natural Mindfulness Guide. Nature holds a special place in my heart, and I deeply appreciate its therapeutic benefits. Drawing from my training in the Buteyko Breathing Method and mindfulness, I like to combine these practices with nature connection and physical activity to enhance my own physical and mental well-being.
I am a register member of The Complementary Medical Association, Buteyko Clinic International and The Peoples Health Alliance.
