Hi I am Dee Twentyman, and I have spent the majority of my working life in the Health Care Field in one way or another. Starting out in Nursing and quickly moving onto Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I discovered my love for this work after so many of my patients and clients came to me with not only the physical symptoms but also emotional and psychological pain too. These emotional and psychological pains worsened and often caused the physical symptoms they were experiencing and so it led me to working with the mind. When we address the erroneous beliefs and the emotions attached, then thoughts feelings and emotions that once were viewed in a completely different way helped the physical pain to ease or be eliminated.
Tackling this at the start has a huge beneficial influence on many symptoms most often Chronic Pain. It is often said that therapists become therapists after having issues of their own to overcome. This may well be true, for myself, i can say that having experienced therapy for my own personal upheavals certainly helped me to see life from a different perspective and recover my own level of control and freedom.
It also helped me to find the way to push past my own limiting beliefs as well as empathising with clients. I hold a combined Honors degree in Psychology and Sociology and I qualified as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist in 2004. Setting up my Therapy business Reachout Therapy the same year. You can find out more about the work i have done by visiting that site if you so wish. My continued professional development is a must in order to practice and i also hold further qualifications in Hypnotherapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Routine) Chronic Pain and Frequency Therapy. I am also a Published Author of the Book: Subconscious Medicine: Understanding the mind and body connection to chronic pain.
I would love to assist you in becoming emotionally healthy for the rest of your life, Now wouldn’t that be good?!
