Homeopathy is a holistic treatment which may be able to help you.
I am a medical doctor who fully qualified as a homeopath in 2003 from the Faculty of Homeopathy. I qualified a medical doctor from Birmingham University Medical School in 1976 eventually practising as an NHS GP.
During my time as a practising doctor, I became increasingly concerned about the side effects and limitations of many modern medical drugs in their treatment of both acute and chronic diseases’. This stimulated my interest in complimentary therapies, particularly homeopathy.
I have been interested in homeopathy since 1989 and in 2002 I competed a 3-year course in homeopathic medicine in Oxford, obtaining further qualifications in 2005 and 2013.
As an NHS GP I practised homeopathy alongside conventional medicine until my retirement from the NHS in 2013. I now work exclusively as a private homeopath.
As the understanding of homeopathy continues to develop, I keep up to date by regular self-study as well as attending numerous national and international seminars and webinars.
The homeopathic consultation
I see patients of all ages with a wide range of health problems.
Each consultation takes account of many factors including current and past medical history, family history, life stresses, emotions as well as food preferences. Such consultations can be quite lengthy particularly on the first occasion. This enables me to understand the person as fully as possible leading to the selection of the most appropriate homeopathic remedy. Remedies are individualised to the person and therefore It is quite common to give different remedies for the same condition in different patients. Homeopathy helps the person with their general health by boosting their immunity thereby improving their mental, emotional and physical well-being.
During my time as a medical doctor, I have found homeopathy to be an invaluable tool in treating patients with a wide range of physical and mental ailments..
