June has been involved in “alternative” healthcare since 1987, and was concerned about the environment long before that. She has travelled widely and learned from other cultures. After her Linguistics degree, she took up nursing training in mental health.
She moved into alternative healthcare training when her children were small in the 1980’s, with Touch for Health Kinesiology and then Acupuncture, then treatments for children, and has continued to learn and add to her skills since then. She is a trained Mentor and Birth Assistant and uses Egyptian Alkhemi Healing. She gets regular mentoring and supervision herself, and continues to learn and improve her skills. The core of her practice for many years has been women and children’s wellbeing. Now, she is concerned for the future of her grandaughter.
She has managed her own complementary health clinic since 1992, and as a CIC since 2007, valuing teamwork and networking. She has always aimed for an integrated healthcare centre, and is actively involved in her local PHA Hub – combining therapies and education / skill sharing. June was involved for a number of months with the Holistic Forum, setting out ideas for the Hub Blueprint, was invited to become the PHA Paediatric Ambassador, and was part of the team setting out the Youth Hub Blueprint. We must protect the children – they are the future.
June is also a proud member of the PHA Wellbeing Wednesday Team.
