Ayurveda is the traditional Indian system of medicine. It considers the balance between the mind, body and spirit to enhance wellbeing and delay ageing. Ayurveda places great importance on prevention of disease and maintaining balance in your life. Ayurvedic massage is a keystone of that process.
MARMA ABHYANGA is a warm oil based full body massage combining traditional Ayurvedic massage techniques with acupressure of Marma points where energy can stagnate.
I work with the breath so that your nervous system can let go of stress. Combined with pressure applied to your marma points this promotes a healthy flow of energy or prana* – a Sanskrit word that translates as “vital life force.”
The treatment encourages healing and strengthening of the body, releasing physical and emotional blockages whilst helping to eliminate toxins. Improved blood circulation and warming up of tissues results in increased absorption of nutrients and supply of oxygen to muscles, whilst your skin is nourished with the oils.
PADABHYANGA foot massage and MUCKABHYANGA facial massage also available in the clinic or alongside other treatments at home.
The AMNANDA PROCESS is a rejuvenating therapy of twelve relaxing oil treatments carried out monthly over the course of a year. The process uses touch, herbs, oils, and talking therapy techniques which trigger a deep process of revitalization working at the physical, emotional and spiritual level. Amnanda means “the path to joy” and this is at the heart of all Amnanda treatments and the spirit of Ayurveda.
According to Ayurveda, physical and mental trauma leaves a residual trace in our cells at the level of cell memory. These residues negatively impact our daily lives, our health, our ability to heal and can lead to premature signs of ageing. The main goal of the Amnanda process is to dissolve traumatic life experiences, at the level of cell memory; to reduce their negative effect on our daily lives and allow a process of rejuvenation or revitalisation to unfold.
The oils used in Amnanda are specially prepared with herbs and mantra and are applied to the whole body. Healing begins from the first treatment. Each person’s journey is highly individual, but usually always includes renewed enthusiasm, greater clarity and direction in life, together with restored youthful vitality.
