I became a nurse in 1998 and have been working in the NHS since then. Over the years, I’ve worked in different roles including high dependency care, prison nursing, district/community nursing, and hospice nursing. Since 2007, I’ve been working within persistent (chronic) pain management services. My role since 2019 has been as a senior clinical nurse specialist, where I conduct assessments, provide medication education and management, psychotherapeutic education, and individualised consultations to help people with chronic pain learn to self-manage their condition with support.
I have always had an interest in complementary therapies and been passionate about the importance of holistic care. Over at least the last decade I have been learning, using and working with lifestyle and herbal medicines. As humans we are physical, psychological, social and spiritual beings, and any imbalance within our systems can negatively impact our overall wellbeing. Working within Healing Natures Way, I aim to support individuals to improve their physical and mental health naturally, using herbal medicines and/or lifestyle medicine.
If you have current health concerns, feel unsatisfied by your ‘normal treatments’, fed up with your current state of wellbeing or want to improve your resistance to future ill-health/ issues, then please contact me for a free 15-minute chat to see if herbal and lifestyle medicine can help you.
